Artist Robyn Woolston is busy putting the finishing touches to her Arts for Mental Health and Wellbeing commission to bring more colour to waiting areas and clinic spaces used by CAMHS at Stirling Health and Care Village and The Manor in Camelon. She is installing a series of murals depicting jungles and galaxies to the deep sea. As her work begins appearing on walls, there has been an enthusiastic response with the result described as “amazing.”
Robyn said: “We’re entering a really exciting chapter within CAMHS at NHS Forth Valley by changing the spaces from a bland beige decor into environments that feel inspiring, resonant, and reflective of service users’ aspirations.”
What is CAMHS?
CAMS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) is provided by NHS Forth Valley. We work with you to understand your/your child’s difficulties and where appropriate offer therapeutic interventions to help you make the changes you want to make. The team is made up of a range of different professionals and we work together using the skills and knowledge of all the different professionals and disciplines, known as multi disciplinary working. The strength of multidisciplinary CAMS team- working is that distinct therapeutic approaches can be offered by utilising the different skills of each profession.
