Career Ambassador-Project Makes a Positive Impact

The Gallery Restaurant at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus was the perfect setting to celebrate the success of the Career Ambassador Project, part of the Forth Valley University College NHS Partnership.

Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the project supports students from a wide range of backgrounds — particularly those who have experienced disruptions in their education or career journey. Each student was matched with an NHS Forth Valley Volunteer Career Ambassador who offered mentorship, guidance, and insight into the wide range of careers available within the health service.

At the celebration, attendees included mentors, mentees, and staff from both NHS Forth Valley and Forth Valley College. Inspiring reflections were shared by three student mentees who spoke about the positive impact the project had on their confidence and career aspirations.Three mentees share their experiences

Since its launch, 44 students have been matched with ambassadors from departments such as IT, Health Improvement, Admin, HR, Estates, and more. Participants met for one-to-one sessions, site visits, and workshops, helping students build skills and identify career opportunities.
