A huge congratulations to Hollie Currie, a Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, and her sister Megan Currie, a student nurse, who recently wowed the crowds at the Allstar Dance World Championships in Orlando, Florida.

Competing alongside their teammates, the sisters placed an impressive 4th in the world, going up against the top dance teams from across the globe – and proudly finished as the highest scoring European team.

Their journey to the world stage began in 2024 when they competed at events in England, earning the title of Grand Champions in their division and securing a partial paid bid to attend the prestigious international competition.

After progressing to the finals in 5th place, Hollie, Megan and their team delivered a standout performance that moved them up to 4th place, finishing just behind powerhouse teams from Japan and the USA.

“It’s a huge achievement and a real honour to even qualify for this competition,” said Hollie. “To come 4th in the world is something we’ll never forget.”

Of course, it wasn’t all work — the sisters also had the chance to enjoy some of the magic Florida has to offer, squeezing in some well-earned fun and team bonding before heading home.
