Two NHS Forth Valley doctors have successfully completed the prestigious Scottish Quality and Safety Fellowship Programme, a national initiative which develops clinical leaders with the skills and expertise to drive improvements in healthcare.
Dr Rachel Green, GP Clinical Lead for Cancer and Palliative Care, and Dr Daniel Hufton, Consultant Paediatrician, were among the latest cohort of clinicians from across Scotland to graduate from the programme.

The Fellowship aims to:
- Develop clinical leaders capable of improving the quality and safety of healthcare for the people of Scotland.
- Enhance knowledge of the science and methods for improvement among clinicians.
- Support the development of safety programmes and spread best practice within their organisations and nationally.
- Establish a strong support network for transformational leadership in Quality Improvement.
- Strengthen cooperation with healthcare providers across Europe and beyond.
Both Dr Green and Dr Hufton will now use their new skills and experience to support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within NHS Forth Valley and contribute to wider national programmes.
