staff at Loch View Celebrating Learning Disability Nursing

As part of this year’s Learning Disability Nurses Day celebrations, staff at Loch View created a collaborative visual collage highlighting what their roles mean to them, as well as reflections from other professionals, family members and patients about the valuable contribution of Learning Disability Nurses across Forth Valley.

During Learning Disability Week, people who are supported at the Whins Resource Centre in Alloa organised a fun afternoon event for friends and the wider community to mark this year’s theme “I Am Here.” The event was a great success, fostering a strong sense of belonging and inclusion, and providing an opportunity for those who attend the centre to share the aspects of their care that matter most to them.

Other activities included an awareness-raising stall at Forth Valley Royal Hospital which helped to shine a spotlight on the vital role learning disability nurses play across acute, inpatient and community services.
