Staff from the Endoscopy Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital laced up their boots to take on the Rob Roy Mighty Hike full marathon, raising an impressive £2,025 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The challenge saw the team tackle a demanding 25.5-mile route through the stunning but rugged landscape of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Over the course of 9 hours and 12 minutes, they pushed through steep climbs, rocky pathways, heavy rain and, by their own admission, far too many hills! Despite the tough conditions, team spirit remained high throughout.
Reflecting on the experience, Eilidh Scott said: “We are all so proud of ourselves for taking on this challenge. It was a great achievement and a fantastic amount raised for such an important charity. We’d like to thank everyone for their support and generous donations.”
The team’s efforts will help support people living with cancer and their families across Scotland.
