Royal Scottish Academy Anniversary Exhibitions

13

RSA200 Art for Health is a touring exhibition of works by drawn from health boards, national art in health collections, and the University of Stirling Art Collection. The exhibition highlights themes proven to promote positive health outcomes – Identity, Place, Nature & Colour – and affirms creativity as an essential part of health, healing and everyday life.

Research consistently shows that engagement with visual art in clinical settings reduces anxiety, supports recovery, and can contribute to shorter hospital stays.

The exhibition is part of RSA200: Celebrating Together – the Royal Scottish Academy’s 200th anniversary national programme, bringing over 100 partners, galleries and institutions together across Scotland for a year of major exhibitions, events and performances.

These include exhibitions at NHS Forth Valley venues:

  • Bellfield Centre, Stirling Health and Care Village, 30 March – 28 June 2026
  • Forth Valley Royal Hospital, 1 July – 27 September 2026

The group photo features representatives from the Art for Health Collective at the Bellfield Centre launch on 1 April 2026.
