The first Leadership for All event took place on 2 April 2026 at the Albert Halls in Stirling. The aim was to bring together individuals from across Forth Valley to connect, learn and lead with confidence. A key message was that everyone is a leader and not every leader is a manager.
There was an excellent turnout of over 150 attendees, who heard a series of presentations from senior leaders across Forth Valley, outlining their professional journeys and how they achieved their roles. The keynote speaker was John Ballatt, Director of the Openings Consultancy and Author of Intelligent Kindness.
Ross McGuffie, Chief Executive and Dr Prakash Shankar, Consultant Psychiatrist opened the event. While other speakers, including Kevin McCloskey, Senior Charge Nurse, Fracture Clinic, Dr Dan Hufton, Consultant Paediatrician, Fiona Campbell, Learning & Education Advisor and Lyndsey Dunn, Head of Community Health & Care, Clackmannanshire and Stirling HSCP, shared their leadership stories.
There was also an opportunity to hear from several Board members including Neena Mahal, Chair, Karen Goudie, Executive Nurse Director, Kevin Reith, Director of People and Karren Morrison, Employee Director.
The event included a Speed Networking session and there were also stalls on a range of topics including Leading to Change, Health and Wellbeing and Value Based Health and Care.
Jenny McCusker, Head of Organisational Development, as the closing speaker highlighted that we are all leaders and the event was rounded off by a performance from the Off Duty Nurses Choir, who performed several songs, including a fantastic Abba Medley.
You can watch short video clips from some of the participants where they shared their highlight from the day below.
A new Leadership for all Network and MS Teams channel has been set up by the Organisational Development Team to help staff connect and share ideas and resources as well as participate in a wide range of events (online and in person).
