NHS Forth Valley ophthalmologist Dr Usha Zamvar has achieved an incredible personal milestone, successfully completing a trek to Everest Base Camp in May.
Dr Zamvar was part of a group of four hikers from Edinburgh who undertook the challenging journey, covering approximately 65 kilometres over eight days. The team reached Everest Base Camp on 8 May, standing at an impressive altitude of 5,364 metres.
The trek, known for its demanding terrain and high-altitude conditions, required significant preparation, resilience and determination, making this achievement all the more remarkable.
