Work is underway to develop a new Quality Strategy which will support the organisation’s commitment to quality and outline our approach to planning, delivering and sustaining quality. Focusing on quality has been shown to significantly improve outcomes for service users and add value to healthcare services by helping to ensure they are safe, effective, person centred, timely, efficient and equitable.
To support the development of the new strategy, a 90-day innovation cycle was adopted and a tiger team has also been established to deliver the work – a concept used across many industries to address big organisational challenges.
The aim is to produce a draft strategy by late November 2020 which will then be shared widely to help inform the final document. In the meantime, if you would like further information or would like to get involved, please email: fv.fvquality@nhs.scot.
