A beautiful tree was created by patients and staff at Lochview to celebrate Learning Disability Week.
This year’s theme was art and creativity, and each patient added their own interpretation to the leaves. The branches came from trees cut down behind Lochview and the art installation is a mixture of natural and manmade resources.
Staff taking part said the art and creativity week had helped them stay connected and supported patients to be more creative by engaging in meaningful activities together.
They also recalled a Chinese proverb which says the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago, the second-best time is now! So now that the new Lochview tree has been planted staff are looking forward to watching it grow.
