The Red Hot Chilli Steppers from Health Records proved they really were red hot by winning the most recent Family and Friends Step Together Walking Challenge with an amazing 4,796,456 steps.
Second and third places went to The Fats and The Furious (Emergency Dept, FVRH) with 4,617,000 steps and Blistering ENPs 2 (minor injuries, urgent care centre FVRH) who notched up 4,247,828 steps.
78 teams signed up for the challenge, 60 from Falkirk, 16 from Stirling and two from Clackmannanshire and overall, a total of 191,078,607 steps were walked. Prizes were donated by the Director of Nursing as part of National Nursing Day celebrations.
Many of the 380 participants said they found the six-week challenge fun and were encouraged to keep on walking. One however, thought four weeks rather than six weeks would be long enough as some struggled to keep pace over the time!
