The Finance Department has waved goodbye to Jane Stephens, who retired after 36 years of working with figures.
Starting in 1985 with Internal Audit, Jane spent a short time at the former Stirling Royal Infirmary but predominantly worked at the NHS Board HQ where she was responsible for monitoring and controlling the Board’s funding from the Scottish Government and as a Finance Manager for Corporate Services.
Jane is now looking forward to dedicating more time to her hobbies including gardening and further researching her family tree and would like to spend time travelling around the country visiting the regions, towns and villages of her ancestry.
Her retirement gifts included a cheque for £220 which she is thinking of putting towards a bike, although she is a little cautious about whether cycling will be as easy now as she remembers!
Other goodies she was presented with included seeds for bees, gardening gloves, a bird feeder and bird food, a watering can planter, handmade citronella candles and a mug with sweet treats. Colleagues hope to have a proper celebration for Jane when restrictions allow.
