After more than 37 years in podiatry, Lesley McArthur has hung up her nail clippers for a well-earned retirement.
Lesley joined the NHS after qualifying from the Edinburgh school of Chiropody, as it was in those days, working initially at Dollar Health Centre and various locations in the Stirling area before moving to Bonnybridge Health Centre nearly 20 years ago.
Lesley had a keen interest in nail surgery and was highly regarded by colleagues and patients alike. During the Covid-19 pandemic she has worked out of the Stenhousemuir podiatry hub treating patients with foot wounds.
As all her colleagues couldn’t join her in person for a retirement tea, a MS Teams call took place from Stenhousemuir Health Centre. Claire Quin, AHP Coordinator for Podiatry and Orthotics, presented her with a photo message book, a gift of money, a bottle of fizz, a retirement survival kit and flowers from all her friends and colleagues in podiatry who wish her a long, happy and healthy retirement.
