Work has started to introduce a new electronic rostering system in NHS Forth Valley.
The system, which will cover all agenda for change staff and medical, will make it easier to deploy staff more effectively across the organisation. This will ensure that there is effective use of the staff available and support better patient care by producing sustainable rosters that provide a better balance of staff throughout the day.
It will also create a more transparent and auditable system with oversight through our organisational structures and clear governance.
The areas being used as early implementer sites at Forth Valley Royal Hospital are AAU, ED (nursing and medical staff), A22, Occupational Health, Estates, Ward 1 and the patient flow navigation hub.
An implementation group has also been established to oversee the roll out of the Allocate Erostering project across Forth Valley over the next two years.
