Congratulations to Lucy Craighead, one of our wonderful NHS Forth Valley Midwives, who has been awarded the Gillian McMillan Inspirational Midwife of the Year Award for 2021.
Lucy was nominated by her colleagues who said she is a caring and compassionate midwife who shows kindness to both students and colleagues.
She gives up her own time to guide and encourage midwives to continually professionally question practice to further develop their knowledge and skills.
She regularly supports the team to provide the very best standard of care for all women and their families.
Lucy was described as calm and collected even at very busy times and all in all she is just inspirational.
