Staff are now able to access and signpost patients to a new Community Nutrition website which has recently been revamped with information, tips and advice on a wide range of topics.

There are 17 different sections to choose from including nutrition advice for babies, children and older people, a multicultural nutrition section and advice on how to eat more sustainably and reduce food waste.

There are also links to the ever-popular Choose to Lose weight management website, a new grow and cook page packed full of easy, quick recipes as well as details of local food groups, grants and funding and a case studies section which showcases some of the great pieces of food-related initiatives which have been taking place across Forth Valley.

NHS Forth Valley Public Health Dietitian Pamela Murray said: “The Community Nutrition and Choose to Lose web pages were first developed more than 15 years ago and they have been growing in popularity over the years.

“Reports show that the web pages regularly get more than 2,500 hits each month which rises sharply when we are promoting specific topics and campaigns. The new design is really eye-catching and will hopefully make it easier and quicker for people to find the information they are looking for.”

The updated content can be accessed by staff, partners, patients and members of the public via the Community Nutrition section of the NHS Forth Valley website.
