Big hearted Mick Callaghan, who works for Serco’s Estates Team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, was praised for recognising the efforts of a young boy who was picking up litter in the woods near the hospital with his mum.
Mick was also collecting litter and took the time to chat to the little boy and ‘paid’ him for all his hard work. His mum said this made his day and he has saved his ‘wages’ in his piggy bank for a special treat.
She also wrote to Serco to thank Mick which led to him receiving a Serco Star award for this kind gesture
