This is team CADStastic which includes nursing staff, a student and a psychiatrist. They work in Community Alcohol and Drugs Service (CADS) South.

The team entered the Forth Valley National Recovery Olympics, which is run by the Forth Valley Recovery Community, to help bring services together, promote recovery and reduce stigma.

The student who took part in the event said:

“The Forth Valley Recovery Community put on an amazing day for many different recovery communities from across Scotland. The day consisted of several school sports day races such as the egg and spoon, three-legged and sack race as well as a spirited game of tug of war and the hungry, hungry hippos game gave everyone a great laugh.

“The competition was fierce and it was great to see so many volunteers, service users and addiction support staff enjoying the sunshine, with free burgers and ice cream for all. CADStastic managed to be in the finals for most events but faltered to place in the top 3. Although we didn’t win, we all agreed it had been a fun afternoon. The team all joked that training for next year starts now!”
