Regular readers of Staff News may be familiar with the name of Paul McCaffery who has raised thousands of pounds for Cahonas, a Scottish charity dedicated to raising awareness about testicular cancer.

Paul, who worked in intensive care and latterly with the immunisation team, credits them with saving his life after their self- check guide led to his diagnosis in 2015.

Since then, he has run hundreds of miles to raise money for the charity. One of his challenges was to cover 300km in a month.

The total amount raised by his last runs is £2300.

Paul wants to thank all staff who supported him as he leaves for a new job as a community engagement officer – with Cahonas!
