A Tree of Life has been created by patients in Ward 5 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital with the help of artists from Artlink Central.
It follows the resumption of occupational therapy sessions which were suspended during the pandemic. Staff say patients are delighted to welcome the artists back.
The Tree of Life was constructed by three people and discussions took place around the change in seasons and nature. The two-hour long sessions were run over six weeks and designed to improve self confidence and health and wellbeing.
The reaction from patients include:
“I never thought I would enjoy doing something like this again.”
“I’ve never done anything like this before and it’s taken me away from being in hospital.”
“It lifts me up.”
