A familiar face in Ward 12 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Cathy Wood has retired after more than 40 years service with the NHS.
She initially started work as a domestic at the former Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary in the late 80s then switched to become a nursing auxiliary.
Throughout her long career, Cathy’s patient care has been second to none and, along with her bestie Mary, they always ensured that their patients were well looked after.
She has been a great teacher to students, nurses and doctors and will be sorely missed by all her colleagues in Ward A12 who wish her every happiness in her retirement lunching with her daughters Laura and Sarah and her grandchildren Jamie and Anna.
As you can see she passed her walking practice with our physiotherapy assistant Janet!
