A total of 46 teams and 231 staff from across the organisation took part in a recent Step Count Challenge.
The combined steps clocked up in the 5-week challenge came to an incredible total of 76 173 289 steps… that’s equivalent to 339,438 miles or a walk around the world!
Five of the teams were based in Stirling, two in Bo’ness, three in Falkirk and the rest were based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
They all did a fantastic job, however, the competition was fierce and it was a very close race right to the end.
The winning teams were: –
- 1st place – Perpetual Motion (Clinical Trials Team) with a phenomenal 3 650 673 steps
- 2nd place – Sole Mates (Ward B12, FVRH) with a whopping 3 242 112 steps
- 3rd place – MIU Strollers (Stroke Physiotherapy Team) with an incredible 3 016 714 steps
