Engaging, informative and fun! Three little words that summed up learning sessions delivered by the Improvement Academy which began in May 2023. Since then, 53 members of staff across NHS Forth Valley and both local Health and Social Care Partnerships have been trained.
The Improvement Academy was created by the Quality Improvement team in response to feedback from previous education sessions. The hope is that this redesigned training will allow staff protected time away from their clinical and non-clinical areas to allow for rich learning.
The two-day course at Forth Valley College focused on both personal development and the principles of Quality Improvement (QI). Feedback from those attending was very positive.

Sessions are scheduled once per month, up to and including April 2024 (excluding December 2023), and the aim is to train over 200 members of staff by the end of this period.
