AHP and nursing staff from Falkirk’s Older Adult Community Mental Health Team worked in partnership with colleagues and the local community to launch the first Dementia Friendly Community event.
The group includes a wide range of individuals and support groups including those living with dementia, carers, Joint Dementia Initiative, Alzheimer’s Scotland, Age Scotland.
They meet every 6 weeks in Denny Library, to raise awareness and provide information and support to people living with or supporting someone with dementia as well as working with local community groups, schools, services and businesses to create a dementia friendly community.
