To celebrate reaching her half century Amanda Bendoris from the Hospital at Home team decided to set herself a challenge. Since her running days were over, she plumped for trekking the West Highland Way.
For moral and psychological support as well as cake sharing, Amanda was joined by friend Sharon Nulty and colleagues Mandy McMonagle and Tracy Leishman who donned their walking boots too.
Amanda chose to raise cash for Epilepsy Connections, a Glasgow based charity close to her heart as they have supported her family over the years. They organise a wide range of events and activities including days out to the movies or ten pin bowling for children with additional needs and their siblings, as well as activity weekends to Ardentinny, allowing participants to experience kayaking, rock climbing and a very popular Saturday night disco!
Their efforts raised nearly £2000. To find out more or donate visit Amanda’s fundraising page.
