Kelsey Waugh, Senior Staff Nurse for Complex Care, went above and beyond to ensure a young man being cared for in ICU was able to attend a recent old firm match.
Her hard work and detailed planning paid off and she, along with ICU Senior Staff Nurse George Doonan, were able to take Dylan Philips, a huge Rangers fan, to the match.
Collette MacFarlane, Complex Care Specialist Nurse & Education Facilitator, said: “Kelsey came up with the idea when she found out that Dylan supported Rangers football club.
She spent a lot of time planning the arrangements with the rest of the Complex Care Team which was quite a challenge as Dylan has very complex health needs, including a tracheostomy and 24/7 ventilation needs.
