Staff within the orthodontic department (based in Area 6 of the Outpatient Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital) had a pumpkin decorating competition.
They were displayed outside clinics and patients attending appointments were asked to vote for their favourite pumpkin. Those who participated received a sample of toothpaste and shown displays which highlighted the amount of sugar in popular drinks and snacks.
It was a fun day spent educating patients and they received a sample of toothpaste for their trouble.
Sarah Paterson, a dental nurse within the orthodontic department, who had hand crocheted her pumpkins, won the trophy.
