Best Foot Forward

Spirits were high, the weather was glorious and blister plasters came in handy as 14 staff from the Falkirk Learning Disabilities Integrated team, accompanied by two Stirling nurses, set off on the 2022 Annual Kilt walk.

The Big Stroll was 14.37 miles from Clydebank to Balloch to raise money for various charities including Downs Syndrome Scotland, My name is Doddy, Action for Children, Macmillan Cancer Support, Highland Hospice, the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and Cerebral Palsy Scotland.

People helped each other to fundraise and reach individual targets and more than £6,000 has already been raised. Dancing to the Red Hot Chilli Pipers ended the day and the team are now gearing up for the 2023 Kilt Walk.
