Huge thanks to Falkirk Football Club for helping to raise funds for the community garden at Unit 5, Falkirk Community Hospital.

Graeme Stewart, Commercial Manager and Kevin Beattie kindly donated a limited edition signed and framed Falkirk Football Club top signed by all the players. They also attended a prize bingo night at Camelon Social Club where they drew the winning raffle for Dylan MacDonald.

The whole night was a great success and, between the bingo and the signed top, more than £2,800 was raised for the Unit which will be spent to help make patients’ stay in hospital as comfortable as possible. Falkirk Football Club also regularly donate tickets to the Unit for patients to use while they wait for a package of care or transfer to a local care home, which they really enjoy.

Tracey Gow, Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Nurse Consultant/ Lead Nurse for Older Adults Mental Health, said: “Local staff are extremely grateful for the player’s time and kindness and I’d also like thank all the staff who kindly donated gifts to help raise funds.”
