The Transport Team recently marked the end of an era as they bid a fond ‘Bon voyage’ to their longest-serving driver, Stephen Barbour, who retired after an incredible 47 years of NHS service.
Stephen first joined the team in 1978. Over the decades, he became a hugely valued member of staff, building lasting friendships across departments, mentoring countless new drivers and playing an integral role within the transport service.
His retirement is both a celebration of a remarkable career and the beginning of a well-deserved new chapter. Colleagues expressed their heartfelt thanks to Stephen for his unwavering dedication and outstanding service, along with their warmest wishes for a long, happy and healthy retirement.
