Bo’ness Staff Support Kiltwalk

Despite preparations ranging from ‘nothing at all’ and ‘good intentions’ to completing regular 15-to-20-mile hikes in the preceding weeks, the nursing team from Ward 2 at Bo’ness Community Hospital turned up trumps on the day! They completed the 26-mile Kiltwalk from St Andrews to Dundee, raising more than £3,000 for Alzheimers Scotland. This magnificent sum includes a donation from the Sir Tom Farmer Foundation.

Kirsty Meikle, Alison Sinclair, Lyn Corkish, Nicole Milton, Linda Brooks, Kasey Saunders, Stephen Turnbull and Kelly Penman, were joined by former colleague, Hannah McDonald to complete the Kiltwalk together in around 9 hours.

Last year many of the participants also completed the 26-mile McMillan Mighty Hike through the Trossachs. They say they don’t want to think of another challenge for the time being – but perhaps might consider one in another year!
