Day Medicine Recognised As Local ‘Diamonds’

The Day Medicine Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital were one of 15 ‘diamonds’ selected for the 2017 Pride of Forth Valley awards, organised by Central FM where they won the NHS/999 Award. A spokesperson for the radio station said: “The department was highlighted for the excellent care they provide, above and beyond the call of duty. They can see up to 50 patients a day making sure they are cheerful and welcoming from the first appointment to the last. This highly- skilled department are praised regularly by their patients.”

The ceremony, which recognizes the fantastic achievements of unsung heroes in the community, was held at the Airth Castle Hotel, with live entertainment from East 17.
