End of an Empire for Beverley!

After 28 years’ service, Beverley Finch, a manager with the Corporate Portfolio Management Office (CPMO), bowed out in her signature style.

Described by colleagues as someone with panache who was great fun to work with, Beverley was known for her wit, style and exclusive taste in clothes, food and wine. It was therefore fitting that her farewell gifts include a giant box of empire biscuits from the coffee van which visits Carseview House, a voucher for champagne afternoon tea at the Gleneagles Hotel, a bottle of vintage champagne and a Fortnum and Mason shopping bag.

Beverley started her NHS career in information services at the former Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary in 1993. Although at the time she only intended this to be a short-term job she went all to spend nearly three decades working in number of roles across the NHS. This included working as a Service Manager for the HIV & AIDs at the City Hospital in Edinburgh, supporting the introduction of new GP fundholding contracts, Adults with Incapacity legislation and setting up the former GP OOH service and Community Heath Partnerships in Forth Valley. She also undertook a number of roles within Corporate Services and Quality Improvement before latterly moving to work in the CPMO.

Gillian Morton, Director of the CPMO, said it had been a delight to work with Beverley and that her only regret was that she didn’t get the chance to work with her more in the past.

Apart from quaffing champagne and empire biscuits, Beverley is looking forward to spending time with her husband David in their holiday home in Turkey and enjoying the sunshine without having to worry about annual leave!
