A huge thank you to Megan Leneghan, a Healthcare Support Worker in the Acute Assessment Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, for going above and beyond in supporting the partner of a patient who unexpectedly went into labour. Megan accompanied the woman to the maternity unit and stayed with her for several hours while trying to contact her family. During this time, she provided comfort by playing calming music on her phone and offering reassurance until a relative arrived and her partner could join her for the birth. The woman and her family were deeply grateful for Megan’s compassionate support, and her colleagues also praised her for going the extra mile.
