Supporting Patients Returning to Work

Do you have patients who you feel would benefit from support when returning to work after illness, or who are struggling with ill health whilst at work?

Working Health Service Forth Valley is there for those who have been furloughed, are working reduced hours, worried about their job and income, worried about Covid-19 or long Covid and returning to work, or any other illness or injury.

The service welcomes referrals from all Forth Valley health professionals and is currently providing case management (including employer liaison), vocational rehabilitation, mental health support, counselling and physiotherapy (remote through Near Me). It’s available to everyone whose employers don’t have an Occupational Health Service. Unemployed patients can be signposted to the Fair Start service via Job Centre Plus for vocational rehabilitation and support to gain work.

All you need to do is provide your patient with the Healthy Working Lives free registration telephone number 0800 019 2211 and ask them to select option 1 Alternatively you can call to register with their consent.

NHS staff seeking support can contact our Occupational Health Department.
