Jan and Duffy’s Climbing Challenge

Climbing 101 times up Dumyat is no mean feat. But when healthcare support worker Jan Palmer took up the challenge to raise money for a Stirling dementia charity her spaniel Duffy was with her all the way.

Jan, a keen walker who has a few Munros under her belt, raised £1755 for Town Break, a group she became involved with when her Mum was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. Jan had previously completed the Dumyat 100 and this year wanted to add an extra hike.

Julie Jack, Senior Charge Nurse in Ward B31 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital says she is super proud of Jan and thought her story would cheer everyone up.
