Knitters Wanted for Christmas Baubles

As part of work to improve the outdoor space at Stirling Health and Care Village, local staff are planning a series of community yarn bombing events.

They started with poppies and are now looking for people to help knit Christmas baubles which can be hung on the trees across Stirling Health and Care Village to make an attractive and unusual outdoor display.

Anyone can take part, either as a formal community group, a bunch of friends, a group of staff or as an individual contributor. They are looking for as many baubles as possible which can be knitted, crocheted, sewn, pompoms or any other way you would like to make them.

Completed baubles can be handed in at Stirling Health and Care Village any time up to Wednesday 30th November 2022. A box for the baubles can be found to the left of the RVS cafe in the main Outpatient building.

Please contact Elaine Cochrane, Health Promotion Officer, on 07825 861821 or email elaine.cochrane@nhs.scot if you would like to contribute baubles so she can record the numbers of individuals taking part and the names of the groups.

There are lots of instructions out there for making pompoms or patterns for knitting, crocheting or sewing baubles which can be downloaded free of charge, or you can use the two patterns listed below.

If you need any help or advice or have any questions, contact Elaine or see the flyer.
