Every dog has his day, but thanks to staff at Loch View, Staffies and other dog breeds in need of rescue locally have more than most.
The registered charity, Save a Staffie, managed by personal carer Carole Johnstone has just received more than £1700 from the nursing team after a mammoth fund-raiser over the festive period.
Save a Staffie, set up by Carole, is located in Grahams Road in Falkirk and supports the re-homing of animals in need, provides financial help with medical interventions, takes care of medical bills and provides food and special diet to animals who require this. The charity has been supported by staff at Loch View for a number of years and also works alongside local services to assist animals whose owners are in crisis.
Carole has worked within the learning disability nursing field throughout her career and is now retiring after 36 years’ service but plans to continue managing the charity shop and provide support to local animals in need.
The Loch View team would like to wish her all the best for her retirement and intend to continue raising money for Save a Staffie.
