Our local cancer team were delighted to welcome back a number of cancer nursing colleagues from Malta for a visit.
The Malta cancer nursing team initially visited Forth Valley when they were setting up a specialist nursing service and now on their third visit, they provided an update on their ways of working and future developments. Our local cancer team were able to demonstrate the advanced nursing and pharmacy roles that are essential to delivering cancer care both here in Forth Valley and in the rest Scotland.
The Malta team also spent time at the Beatson Oncology centre, Maggie’s Forth Valley and with colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service. The feedback from all involved has been very positive and the Malta team have expressed the hope for further visits in the future, building on our relationship and networking across our countries.
