Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising our first ever Speak Up week and everyone who came along to one of the drop-in sessions to chat to our local Speak Up Ambassadors and Advocates.
If you didn’t get the chance to attend any of the sessions, you can hear from our Executive Board member and Whistleblowing Champion Gordon Johnston via StaffNet.
You can also watch two online discussions hosted by the Independent National Whistleblowing Officer (INWO). These include a discussion session featuring INWO, Rosemary Agnew, and the National Guardian in England, Dr Jayne Chidgey-Clark and a discussion on trust and transparency, chaired by Niki Maclean, the Director of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) with senior leaders from Healthcare Improvement Scotland, SSE and the Civil Aviation Authority.
Remember there are many ways to discuss any concerns or issues you may have at work in a safe and confidential space. This could be a trusted colleague, a trade union representative or a professional body, a Speak Up Ambassador or Advocate, a peer support service or one of our confidential contacts for the Whistleblowing service.
You can also access mediation services, Spaces for Listening and a range of services to support your mental health and wellbeing on StaffNet. Details and useful links can be found on the Mental Wellbeing page of the Staff Support and Wellbeing website.
