“I’m Imogen Murray and I work as a doctor in sexual health services and prison healthcare. My dad was a keen cyclist, so I was dragged out mountain biking as a reluctant child and teenager. I didn’t cycle for a number of years but realised it was a good way to get around when I was studying medicine at Edinburgh. I bought a second-hand bike and used it to commute. I started to really enjoy cycling, so upgraded to a road bike and have never looked back!
“Three years ago I cycled over 1000 miles across France and Switzerland, and over the last few years have cycled around Scotland. I’ve recently started gravel biking – and have enjoyed some trips cycling/ wild camping around some beautiful parts of Scotland.
“I want to normalise cycling as a great, healthy and cheap way to commute and provide assistance for anyone who hasn’t been on a bike for a while and might have concerns that cycling isn’t for them. I also want to help increase the number of people cycling in Forth Valley, and improve local cycling infrastructure and facilities.”
