Dr Calum McGregor has been appointed as NHS Forth Valley’s new Clinical Director for Quality.
Calum has been working as a Consultant in Acute and General Medicine with us for just over a year. Prior to joining NHS Forth Valley, he was a Medical Consultant in NHS Lanarkshire from 2012 to 2024 and served as National Clinical Lead for Acute Care with Healthcare Improvement Scotland between 2017 and 2020.
Speaking about his new role, Calum said: “I have been impressed with the breadth and ambition of NHS Forth Valley’s quality improvement initiatives, such as the Safer Together collaborative and the Culture Change programme. There is a lot of excellent work being done, and the innovative use of simulation technology in Forth Valley is also very exciting.
“However, we know that the range of pressures on the NHS puts a significant strain on our systems and staff, and I am therefore looking forward in this new role to helping improve outcomes and the experience of local patients and staff.”
