Carmen Durick, a medical student from the University of Glasgow, who has been working with the Foot and Ankle team in the Orthopaedic Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, won first prize at a recent Scottish Committee for Orthopaedics and Trauma (SCOT) event for her research on the use of mini C-arm machines in minor foot and ankle procedures and injections.
Her study demonstrated that mini C-arm technology can significantly reduce costs and carbon emissions when compared to traditional C-arm machines, offering a more environmentally sustainable approach to imaging in clinical practice. Find out more here.
