Colleagues held a special retirement tea to say farewell to May McDermott who has served an incredible 41 years with the NHS. May started her nursing assistant journey in 1982 in ward 9A at the former Falkirk and District Royal infirmary and joined ward A21 when they moved to Forth Valley Royal Hospital. In 2015, she decided to step away from the ward and join the community night nursing team where she spent the remainder of her nursing career. She now deserves some well-earned me time.
