Dr James Cant, Chief Executive for the Resuscitation Council UK, visited our local Resuscitation Service during the final Advanced Life Support (ALS) course of 2022.
The service delivers both the Advanced Life Support and European Paediatric Advanced Life Support courses on a regular basis and relies on the assistance of many instructors who volunteer their time or valuable study leave to support the candidates in learning and developing vital skills.
James said: “It was great to be able to join the ALS course and to see all the great training and learning taking place. At a time of unprecedented pressures on the system, it would be all too easy to let training slip. But good resus training lies at the heart of patient safety and underpins all that we’re looking to deliver in Realistic Medicine. Thanks so much to all involved, instructors and candidates.”
