A new Alongside Midwifery Unit (AMU) opened within the Women and Children’s Unit to help create a more comfortable and less clinical environment for women and their families.
New beds were purchased to support delivery along with new cube chairs, which convert to a double bed for women to sleep on together with their partner.
Pupils from Larbert High School also created a new mural for the AMU corridor which was inspired by nature and the hospital’s woodland surroundings.
