No Pipe and Slippers for Dougie

It definitely won’t be pipe and slippers for Consultant Respiratory Physician Dougie Morrison who retired recently.

He is looking forward to the next chapter of his life which includes getting married and spending time on Lewis, the birthplace of his father. Not to mention a host of hobbies including watching rugby at home and away, sailing, a love of whisky, learning Gaelic and enjoying time with his three daughters, Sara, Amy and Kirsty.

Dr Morison studied at Edinburgh University Medical School, worked in Bristol and Cardiff during his respiratory training and began his career with NHS Forth Valley career in 1996 at the former Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary.

Moving to Forth Valley Royal Hospital when it opened in 2011, he was the Speciality Lead for respiratory medicine from 2008 to 2015, and became Clinical Director for the Medical Directorate between 2015 and 2018.
