Friends and colleagues gathered recently to say a fond farewell to Noreen Winchcole after more than 39 years in the NHS.
Noreen started her NHS career at Stobhill hospital in Glasgow in 1978 and held a variety of posts throughout her long nursing career. She spent the majority of her service in orthopaedics, which was her true passion, and latterly worked in ward A32 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Far from putting her feet up, Noreen is looking forward to a busy retirement visiting friends in Spain, touring New England with her husband, caring for her mother and helping her sister with her grandchildren!
