Outpatients Wears Pink for Breast Cancer

Staff in Area 2 of the Outpatients Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital are inviting colleagues to support Wear It Pink 2026 on 23 October and help raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now.

The fundraising event is being organised by Staff Nurse Leigh Daisley and the Area 2 team, who work closely with thousands of patients each year and see first-hand the importance of compassionate care, clear information and ongoing support for people affected by breast cancer.

Colleagues are encouraged to wear something pink on the day and take part in a range of fundraising activities, including raffles, with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Now. Activities will be organised with consideration for patients attending breast clinics and other outpatient appointments.

The team has set a fundraising target of £500, with funds supporting life-changing breast cancer research and providing practical and emotional support for individuals and families affected by the disease.

Leigh said: “This fundraising event is our way of standing together for a cause that matters deeply to us. Every donation will help Breast Cancer Now continue its vital work in research, care and support.”

Anyone wishing to support the campaign can donate via the team’s JustGiving page.
